Second Life: Sexy Locks

I wanted a slight change from my usual hairstyle, which you can see in the background. Unfortunately, while I was screwing around, I changed my features, not just my hair. I’m trying to recapture the innocence now, but I’m still pretty hopeless when it comes to whipping up a new face. I’m not even that great with makeup in Real Life. I suppose it must look sort of like me: a lot of people have asked me if I’m supposed to be Asian or something else. (Like what? Simbari?) If this works, you should be seeing this post, if not, it’ll be lost in cyberspace once again. I’ve been fiddling around, trying to find a way to post from Second Life without switching windows.

I’ll show you how to save a back-up of your body shape. I have a couple of back-ups. I also wrote down all of my appearance settings, that way if anything goes really whacky with the grid, I could always resort to my handwritten notes.

I was once in Yadnis junkyard, and I clicked on a box that said Alien Avatar. Instead of just going in to my inventory, the wretched thing turned me in to a 3ft tall white grey alien.

ARRHHHHH……!!!!

This was before I knew howto save my body and face settings.

2 hours later, I was almost back to looking like normal, but it was never the same.

Then I though to spend some L$ on a decent skin, shape and hair.

That’s a good idea, Cheri. I should have thought about that myself before I started messing with things. I got as close as I could, and had the unfortunate result of looking just like my red-headed 80′s-chic Chinese cousin. (One reason I didn’t show my face in that one.) I bet she’s going to choke when I tell her how I drug her doppelganger through some BDSM dungeons and clubs. I took some awesome pictures to share with her, too. *eg*

I know that alien attack was frustrating, Shockwave, but I think that’s so awesome, and hilarious, of course. : ) I bought the hair, bought some skin & shape (hated it) but I keep switching my avatar around to resemble me, for some reason. And my looks are boringly old hat for me!
